We are committed to producing puppies of exceptional quality, sound structure, and excellent health. All puppies are sold with CKC registration and are eligible for AKC registration.
AKC registration for pet puppies is provided as limited registration only and requires a spay/neuter agreement. There is no advantage to full AKC registration for pet-only homes. Our pricing does not include full AKC registration, and breeding rights are not granted on pet puppies.
Full AKC registration and breeding rights are reserved exclusively for established, reputable breeding programs. Interested breeders must submit a breeder resume and references for consideration by emailing kuntrytymeshihtzu@gmail.com.
All of our puppies are bred to AKC breed standards. We do not breed for “tinies” or “imperials.” Our Shih Tzus are standard size, which typically falls in the 9–12 lb range when fully grown.
That said, size is never guaranteed—Shih Tzus tend to do things their own way! Over the years, we’ve seen runts grow into the largest adults, and larger puppies mature into smaller adults. While we can give an estimate based on experience, Mother Nature always has the final say.
To be considered for one of our puppies, a completed puppy application is required. Submitting an application also places you on our contact list in the event that no puppies are currently available or if you do not find the perfect match at this time.
Puppy pricing ranges from $1,000 to $1,800.
Price is not determined by sex, color, or estimated size. Puppies are priced based on overall quality, structure, and conformation.
Please note that adult size cannot be guaranteed.
We do not sell puppies to pet shops, puppy mills, or brokers under any circumstances.
All inquiries regarding full AKC registration are carefully reviewed and investigated to ensure the best possible lifelong placement for each puppy.
Reservation & Commitment Policy
Reserving a puppy is a commitment to that specific puppy. Once a puppy is reserved, we hold that puppy exclusively for your family and stop accepting inquiries for them. For this reason, reservations are only accepted from families who are fully prepared and committed to moving forward. Changes of mind, delays, or lack of communication can impact the puppy and other families waiting. Please be sure you are ready to commit before requesting to reserve a puppy.
