• Registration & Breeding Rights

All puppies are sold with CKC (Continental Kennel Club) registration and are eligible for AKC registration. AKC registration for pet puppies is available through limited registration only and requires a spay/neuter agreement. Limited registration is appropriate for pet-only homes, as it does not permit offspring from the registered dog to be registered with the AKC. Our puppy prices do not include full AKC registration, and breeding rights are not granted with pet puppies.
Full AKC registration and breeding rights are reserved exclusively for established, reputable breeding programs. Breeders interested in consideration must submit a breeder resume and references for review. Please email your information to kuntrytymeshihtzu@gmail.com.
All inquiries regarding full AKC registration and breeding rights are carefully reviewed to help ensure responsible breeding practices and the best possible placement for each puppy.

• Breed Standards & Adult Size

We breed our Shih Tzus to  conform to AKC breed standards. We do not breed for “tinies” or “imperials.” Our Shih Tzus are standard size, which typically falls within the 9–12 pound range at maturity. Although we can offer an estimated adult size based on our experience, adult size is never guaranteed. Puppies grow and develop at their own pace, and their final size can sometimes be surprising! Over the years, we have seen the smallest puppies grow into the largest adults and larger puppies mature into smaller adults. We are happy to share our best estimate, but genetics and Mother Nature ultimately have the final say.

• Puppy Pricing

Our puppy prices range from $1,000 to $1,800
Pricing is based on each puppy’s overall quality, structure, and conformation.
Price is not determined by sex, color, or estimated adult size.
Please remember that adult size cannot be guaranteed, regardless of a puppy’s size at the time of purchase.

• Puppy Applications

to be considered for one of our puppies, a completed puppy application is required. Submitting an application also places you on our contact list if no puppies are currently available or if you do not find the right match at this time. This allows us to stay in touch and notify you when future opportunities may be available.
We want every puppy to find the right home, and we appreciate families who take the time to complete our application process.

• Responsible Puppy Placement

We are committed to responsible breeding and carefully selecting the homes in which our puppies will thrive. We do not sell puppies to pet shops, puppy mills, or brokers under any circumstances. Our puppies deserve loving homes where their well-being is a priority. Every inquiry is taken seriously, and we reserve the right to review applications to help ensure the best possible placement for each puppy.

• Reservation & Commitment Policy

Reserving a puppy is a commitment to that specific puppy. Once a reservation is accepted, we hold that puppy exclusively for your family and stop accepting inquiries from other prospective homes. This means other interested families may miss the opportunity to adopt that puppy. For this reason, we accept reservations only from families who are prepared and committed to moving forward with their chosen puppy. We understand that circumstances can change, but changes of mind, delays, or a lack of communication can affect both the puppy and other families waiting for an opportunity. Please be certain you are ready to commit before requesting a reservation. Our priority is to provide every puppy with a smooth transition into a loving, permanent home. Thank you for considering Kuntry Tyme Shih Tzus. We appreciate your interest in our puppies and your understanding of the policies we have established to protect their well-being and ensure responsible placement.
